Chef ZARA
Born in London and raised in Amsterdam throughout her childhood years, Chef Zara gained inspiration from time spent bouncing around various European nations and their cuisines, which helped shape her style as a chef.
Having worked in the food industry for 20 years in various restaurants and award-winning catering companies, she has used this professional training to develop her own creative and professional vision. Additionally, my background as a fine artist has expanded her understanding of aesthetic and conceptual possibilities through food.
Since moving to Joshua Tree in 2015, Chef Zara’s career as a private chef has been an immensely rewarding experience. Throughout the years, she has provided services ranging from fine dining experiences (conventional to avant-garde), retreat production, public event catering, and cooking classes to specialty cake design.
Bringing people joy through flavors, textures, sights, and aromas is Chef Zara’s passion, and she does so through the use of vegetarian and plant-based ingredients. The meals she prepares embrace her love for different cultures and food that is both nutritious and indulgent.
