LOS PONCHO TONES

Los Poncho Tones are the High Desert’s premier band, from private gatherings to all the bars, festivals and openings in town, they’re always there, bringing the party, and you too can have this legendary trio at your gathering.

A three-piece outfit, they play a fun mix of New Orleans based rhythms with a dusty desert top line, known as their signature, “Greasy Tumbleweed” sound. Theirs is a repertoire of curated tunes ranging in genres including Rock, Blues, Jazz, Vintage R&B, Funk, Country, Heartland, Americana and so on - often within the same song!

You can look forward to a groove-forward affair, wrapped in a high desert aesthetic, and brought to you by the collective, masterful musicianship of Josh Sonntag on guitar, Jon Ossman on bass and Denny Weston on drums. Together and separately, they have recorded and/or toured with Santana, The Kooks, Draco Rosa, Paula Cole, KT Tunstall, Chris Botti, Gustavo Santaolla, Goldfrapp, Robert Palmer, Marc Cohn, Michael Kiwanuka, Alex Syntek and many more!

Los Poncho Tones are just as comfortable blending into the scenery as they are being the life of the party – you decide.
